Jiujiang…again

A New Hope…

‘Ello, ello, ello! Well together [you the reader and me the writer],we are back in Jiujiang, China for another year of adventure. What is in store this time? Hopefully not the loss of another organ.
Yes, that’s right blogfans. I took on another year living in China, Jiujiang specifically, to continue the ever evasive quest for…um…oh, let’s be real. After all the classes and personal [we'll call them] speed bumps last semester June 30th and the end of my contract came up with a quickness. So instead of planning a move someplace else I am here to fill in the gaps of last year. We can look at it as a two year effort to document one year in China.
I just returned from a fantastic month and a half of travel. First, I revisited Thailand and spent a week in Pattaya to conclude a story about the culture and the lifestyle of that area. Then I was off to the US and St. Louis, Missouri for a month of downtime and review. At the end of those two trips I visited Beijing and saw Tienamen Square, the Forbidden City, and climbed two sections of the Great Wall: Wohu Mountain, and JinShanLing.
Now, I have to admit, though you already are aware, that I dropped a few months off my monthly newsletter. Worse, I still have January photos cycling to the right of this text. I apologize for my delinquency and hope you will remain the ever vigilant reader patiently waiting for the new material.
With that said, I hope we can move on together into the new 2008 and the new year of Life in Jiujiang [as an Amaturian traveler]. Hope you’re ready!…cause I’m kinda already here on the ground running.
